Clean Makeup has never been easier to shop thanks to Sephora!

In 2020 I focused on transitioning my closet to slow fashion and my vanity to vegan beauty; but I soon learned vegan beauty wasn’t enough… it had to be clean too! My good friend introduced me to an app called Think Dirty that shows you the chemicals in your makeup and rates them on an easy to understand scale.

When I first put in my favorite brand, I was shocked. Turns out my makeup wasn’t hurting any animals, but it WAS hurting my skin!

I honestly became frustrated searching for makeup that was vegan and clean; and I started to resent the Think Dirty app every time a red number popped up. Sephora must have felt my frustrations however because they have come up with the simplest solution: a clean makeup section on their website!

Sephora‘s website now has an entirely new page called “Clean at Sephora” that features beauty products free of any toxins. You can shop all the clean goodies, search for specific categories (Skincare, ect.) or by brand.

They even have value sets and your other favorite categories found on the normal Sephora homepage.

The Clean Makeup Badge at Sephora

Sephora made it easy to find the clean makeup no matter where you are on their website with the use of a new logo:

That means even if you’re shopping within a different page on the site, you’ll still be able to tell which products are clean and which ones are toxic. The clean badge even appears on samples and items in the Beauty Insider Reward shop!

The only time you might miss it is if the product has won an award. If so, the product will have a badge featuring the award they won instead of the clean makeup badge. See the Ilia mascara and foundation below.
