Hello all! I’m Kk and I’m an adventure loving Californian currently living in Los Angeles. I originally started blogging in 2013 when I created kkantoinette.com. Over the years my style and interests have changed which is why I needed a fresh start. This is a new site but with the same domain name!
I’m a history nerd, which comes out in my style. I love dressing up themed for a specific time period, character, movie, play, etc. Common themes are dark romance, 70s hippie vibes, and chiller tees.
My husband and I are camping and jeep enthusiasts; so much so that we actually lived out of our Jeep for two months this past summer! We went to 17 different states in 37 days, and were lucky enough to see a large portion of our country. You can find more information about our Jeep camper and travels at outsidehumans.com.
Why the new site?
One of my favorite places, and where we got engaged!
I started blogging before instagram and the world of influencers took over the marketing world. While I love some aspects of instagram, I don’t like how it’s promoted the fast fashion industry. The negative effects it has on our environment, wallets, and mental health was really starting to bum me out. I created this new site to cut all ties I once had with the fast fashion industry and to focus on becoming a conscious consumer instead.
What does that mean?
I still love fashion, photography, and travel… but I will be avoiding all fast fashion brands. Instead I’ll be highlighting sustainable/eco-friendly brands (like Goddess Provisions and Lush!).
I’m making the switch to slow fashion with this new site! I’m bound to make some mistakes along the way. I plan on sharing those mistakes with you all as well!
