Throughout 2021, formal gloves started to make a come back. Partially due to concerns over Covid, and partially thanks to shows like Bridgerton and the millionaire/old money aesthetic trending among influencers. Brands like The Bar and For Love and Lemons continued to push the glove trend by designing gloves to pair perfectly with their romantic styles.
Holiday glam popularized the formal glove trend even further and just like that, Carrie Bradshaw guaranteed that the trend would continue into the new year.
Understated Leather formal Gloves
I got both of my gloves from a brand I love and trust: Understated Leather. If you’ve been following me for awhile they’re the brand that made my patch jacket and my “lady luck” earrings. I had been tempted to try the trend for months when Black Friday rolled around… and the sale prices were just too good. I got both a short black pair and a long nude pair of formal gloves. The long nude pair were on super sale when I snagged them š but they’re still totally affordable at $22 dollars!
Unfortunately, the short black ones are sold out but I’ve linked other similar styles in the next section!
