Fiorucci angels have been popping up on my feed these past few months, and they quickly captured my attention with there adorable faces and pillowy soft curls. I stopped myself from purchasing however when I couldn’t find any information about the materials they used in their garments. Usually when a company doesn’t brag about it, they’ve got something to hide.
100% Organic Cotton: Fiorucci Woodland
Fiorucci seems to have gotten the memo though. When they launched their “Woodland” capsule collection, they included a note to their fan base explaining how they as a brand can, and will do better. They promise to be open and honest with their customers moving forward, and to put the needs of our planet and those working in their factories at the forefront.
The Woodland collection is made from 100% organic cotton. Even the seeds are GMO free! The garments are also supposedly made in factories where workers are fairly treated, but they don’t list which specific factories so I can’t confirm that just yet. You can read the brand’s full note about the collection here.
To keep the “good vibes” going, Fiorucci also included some feel good charity work into the mix. A unspecified portion of the money made from the Woodland collection is being donated to the World Land Trust’s “Buy and Acre” program.
Finally, the cherry on top of the collection. Every item in the collection comes with a biodegradable tag made out of seed paper!
I’ve seen these at wedding before but loved the idea of a brand using them as tags! Seed paper is a recycled paper product that has wildflower seeds within it. You can actually put the paper right into your garden, water it, and watch the wildflowers grow!
First Fiorucci: Organic Cotton beanie and workout set
I got my first Fiorucci pieces from the Woodland collection when I saw it was 100% Organic Cotton. So excited to start off the New Year with some guardian angels!
Not only did the company make a push to do better for our planet, but they also deigned an EXTREMELY adorable folky collection. Think 70’s style mushrooms, gnomes, and deer. It was right up my alley!
I got the beanie first to check the quality… and then ordered a workout outfit immediately after it arrived. I’ve been wearing it nonstop! I live along the coast and we have a heavy marine layer pretty much all day, so this beanie has already become a goto item of mine. The work out gear is still in the mail, but I will update this post with a review after they arrive!
Winter Sale happening now!
The Woodland collection is currently on SUPER SALE!!! Prices are already up to 70% off AND they just added another 10% off code to use at checkout (extra10).
