Makeup Revolution The Nightmare Before Christmas Collection

The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my weaknesses; which is why I decided to try out the Makeup Revolution Nightmare Before Christmas collection this year!

I’ve never tried the brand before, but it’s cruelty free and it was time to replace a few items in my makeup drawer. I got the Sally Eyeshadow Pallet, the makeup brush set, the highlighter in Misfits, the Zero lipgloss, and the clear cosmetics bag! The Nightmare Before Christmas Eye Shadow Pallet (Not Vegan)

The Nightmare Before Christmas makeup
The Sally Eyeshadow pallet

The Nightmare Before Christmas collection came with a Jack and Sally pallet. I got the Sally Pallet and LOVE IT!! Overall it’s mainly autumn tones (red, orange, golds) with a few amazing shades of purple and green. The pigment is AMAZING. You can layer it, but the colors really pop with even the lightest shade.

My favorite shades for every day use have been: Mad Scientist, Play Dead, and Take a Chance.

My favorite shades for dressing up (at home, helloooo lockdown round two): Moonlight layered with Chills and Deadly Nightshade. All three are different vibrant shades of purple.

Accessories

Makeup Revolution The Nightmare Before Christmas Collection
The Nightmare Before Christmas Brush Set featuring Jack, Sally, Oogie, and Zero.

I was in dire need of new brushes when this collection launched so I got the brush set! The characters really pop on the handles thanks to the neon details behind them, and the brushes come in an adorable container featuring Jack skulls and Demon heads. The actual bristles of each brush are well made but they’re not the best make up brushes I’ve ever had. I use them but I also use others to get a full make up look done.

The clear makeup bag is now where I keep my daily makeup for easy access. It has cute decals on it that match the make up brushes! The Sally Eyeshadow pallet doesn’t fit in it but the brushes and highlighter fit along with the rest of my daily makeup!

The Nightmare Before Christmas Highlighter and Zero Lip-gloss (Vegan!)

I got the clear lipgloss because I personally don’t wear much lip make up. The Zero lip gloss has a nice vanilla flavor and is a perfect simple clear lip gloss.

The Misfits highlighter has a great, yet subtle, golden shine. It’s a color that’s extremely similar to my old favorite: Becca highlighter in Champagne.
